Lukas Buecherl is a Ph.D. student specializing in genetic circuit design at the University of Colorado Boulder. Working under the supervision of Dr. Chris Myers in the Genetic Logic Lab, Lukas is currently in his 4th year of study. His research focuses on synthetic biology, particularly the prediction of genetic circuit behavior in silico. Throughout his Ph.D., Lukas has contributed to various synthetic biology software tools including iBioSim, SBOLCanvas, SynBioSuite, and SynBioHub. His primary focus revolves around analyzing the behavior of genetic circuits, employing stochastic simulation methods such as Gillespie’s stochastic simulation algorithm and stochastic model checking.
